獎學金面試常見題目與準備：Fulbright、Chevening、HYPMS Merit 20 個高頻題（2026 顧問實戰）
每年 1 月，我接到的最焦慮學生訊息：「老師，Fulbright 面試下週了——他們會問什麼？」
我的回答永遠是：「獎學金面試與大學 admissions 面試完全不同——獎學金面試問「你的人生使命」「領導力」「對社會的貢獻」，不是「為什麼這所學校」。」
本文用我 15 年實戰，拆解獎學金面試的所有面向。
一、獎學金面試 vs 大學面試的根本差異

二、4 大獎學金面試類型
2.1 Type 1：Vision-Driven（Fulbright、Knight-Hennessy）
焦點：你的「人生使命」與該獎學金 mission 的 fit。
典型問題：
- What is your “why”?
- 10 年後你想做什麼？
- 為什麼這個獎學金 fit 你？
2.2 Type 2：Leadership-Driven（Chevening、Jardine、Robertson）
焦點：你過去 + 未來的 leadership 故事。
典型問題：
- 講一個 leadership 故事 detail
- 怎麼處理 team conflict?
- 怎麼 inspire others?
2.3 Type 3：Research-Driven（PhD funding、學術獎學金）
焦點：你的學術 background + research proposal。
典型問題：
- 詳述你的 research proposal
- 你的 methodology 為什麼？
- 如果你的 hypothesis 是錯，你會怎麼做？
2.4 Type 4：Bridge-Driven（Jardine、Schwarzman、Chevening）
焦點：你如何成為「East-West / 兩文化的橋樑」。
典型問題：
- 為什麼是你（不是其他亞洲學生）？
- 你的 cross-cultural experience?
- 你怎麼把學的東西帶回台灣？
三、20 個高頻面試問題（含答題框架）
3.1 Personal Background（5 題）
Q1：Tell me about yourself.
✓ 答題框架：
- 1 個現在 self（30 秒）
- 1 個 origin story（45 秒）
- 1 個 future vision（30 秒）
❌ 不要：「I’m 22, born in Taipei, studied at NTU, GPA 3.9…」（履歷式）
Q2：What’s your background that shaped who you are?
✓ 答題：
- 1 個具體 background（家庭、文化、地理）
- How it shaped you specifically
- Concrete example of how this background influences your decisions
Q3：Why are you a strong candidate?
✓ 答題框架（STAR）：
- Situation
- Task
- Action
- Result
Q4：What’s a moment that defined you?
✓ 答題：
- 1 specific event
- What you did
- How it shaped your trajectory
Q5：What’s your weakness?
✓ 答題：
- Real weakness（不是「I’m a perfectionist」）
- How you’re working on it
- Specific improvement seen
3.2 Why This Scholarship（5 題）
Q6：Why this scholarship?
✓ 答題：
- 該獎學金 mission（不是「they give money」）
- 你的 mission 如何 fit
- 具體 program / opportunity 你會利用
Q7：If we don’t choose you, what’s your backup?
✓ 答題：
- 你還是會去念碩博士
- 你會用 X / Y 來實現自己 vision
- 你的決心不取決於這個獎學金
Q8：What will you do with this opportunity?
✓ 答題：
- 學位期間的 specific actions
- 與該獎學金 mission align
- 後續的 impact
Q9：How will you give back?
✓ 答題：
- 在學期間 give back（mentor、advocacy）
- 畢業後 give back（career path、scholarship 自己 set up）
- 對台灣 / 該 community 的長期 commitment
Q10：Why now?
✓ 答題：
- 為什麼此時 right time（人生 stage）
- 與你 current trajectory 的 fit
- 你的 specific 行動表示這是 right time
3.3 Leadership（5 題）
Q11：Tell me about a leadership experience.
✓ 答題（STAR）：
- Situation：具體場景

- Action：你做了什麼

Q12：How do you handle conflict in a team?
✓ 答題：
- Specific conflict story
- 你的 approach

- 不是抽象 description
- 1-2 個 specific principles + 具體 example

- 你的 method（不是「I’m inspiring」）

3.4 Vision / Impact（5 題）
Q16：Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
✓ 答題：
- Specific career / impact goal
- Why this matters
- Plan for getting there（含此獎學金的 role）
Q17：What problem do you want to solve?
✓ 答題：
- 1 個具體 problem（不是「改變世界」）
- 為什麼這個 problem 重要
- 你的 unique angle on solving it
Q18：If you could change one thing in your country, what would it be?
✓ 答題：
- 1 個 specific 議題
- 為什麼選這個
- 你會怎麼 contribute（不只 vote）
Q19：What’s a book / podcast / influence that shaped your thinking?

Q20：Why should we choose you over other candidates?

- 不要說「我比其他人厲害」
- 說「我的 unique angle」

四、Panel Interview 的特殊技巧
獎學金面試多為 3-5 人 panel——與單人面試不同。
4.1 看著問問題的人
每個 panelist 問題時，看著他——但回答時眼神掃過全 panel。
4.2 不要 favorit
不要對某位 panelist 特別熱情、忽略其他。
4.3 Take notes 是 ok
可以準備一小本紙筆——記下他們的問題重點。
4.4 Be ready for follow-ups
Panel members 會 follow-up 同一個問題——準備好 deeper 回答。
五、Group Interview 的特殊技巧
部分獎學金（如 UWC、Knight-Hennessy）採 group interview：
5.1 Balance speak vs listen
- 不要 dominate（speaking 30-40% of time max）
- 不要 silent
5.2 Build on others’ points
- 「Building on what [name] said, I would add…」
- 顯示你 listened + 有 perspective
5.3 Disagree gracefully
- 「I see it slightly differently…」
- 不是「You’re wrong」
六、面試前 1 週的準備
6.1 4 天前
- 重讀 application + research proposal
- 列你的 strengths + weaknesses
6.2 3 天前
- Mock interview 1 次（找朋友 / 顧問）
- 自己對著 webcam 練回答 20 題
6.3 2 天前
- 研究 panel members（LinkedIn）
- 準備你的 questions for them
6.4 1 天前
- 確認 logistics（dress、address、route）
- 早睡
6.5 面試當天
- 提早 30 分鐘
- 帶水 + 紙筆

寄完 thank-you email 後不要再追問結果。
九、台灣學生面試 5 大常見錯誤
9.1 過度謙虛
✗ 「I’m honored just to be considered.」（每句話都這樣） ✓ Confident statements + specific evidence
9.2 抽象答案
✗ 「I want to help people.」 ✓ 「I want to build NLP tools for Taiwanese-speaking elderly populations.」
9.3 沒答出你「為什麼是你」
✗ 普遍化答題 ✓ 你的 unique angle / experience
9.4 不會問問題
每個獎學金面試結束時 panelist 都會問「Do you have questions for us?」——必須有 2-3 個 substantive 問題。
9.5 過度緊張
✗ 結巴、跳躍、忘詞 ✓ 暫停一下、Deep breath、然後 continue
十、面試後的 4 種可能結果

15 年來我看過太多獎學金面試「準備不足」的台灣學生——把面試當「填空題」，給標準答案。錯——獎學金面試是「Panel 評估你是否值得 invest 30K-60K USD」。

獎學金面試的本質：1. 不是「回答問題」——是「講你的人生使命」2. 不是「證明你很厲害」——是「讓他們看到 future leader」3. Specific > General——具體故事勝過抽象 vision4. Confidence > Modesty——自信表達 your value

獎學金面試是「你向 panel 講 30 分鐘的人生使命」——不要浪費這 30 分鐘問「這個 program 學費包什麼」這種你 Google 找得到的問題。
